Harden Custom Homes was founded in 1974 by Thomas Harden. Here we are in 2018, 44 years later and the business is still family owned and operated is headed up by Mark Harden.

Mark Harden - Who is he and what are his qualifications? Mark is the successor to his father Tom Harden, is the Owner and Qualifier of Harden Homes. He has a bachelor of science degree in Construction Management from the College of Engineering and applied sciences at Florida International University. He as held a Class “A” Certified General Contractor’s license in the State of Florida for over 20 years and has constructed over 1,000 single family units and counting. Mark started working for his father at the age of 10 learning the finer skills of digging ditches and pouring concrete. Mark apprenticed under his father and select employees over the years to master the skills of carpentry, masonry, fine trim work, cabinetry, ceramic tile work, painting, roofing, and many more. Mark truly is an expert in the home building business from the ground up. His experience in the field coupled with is higher education and management experience allow him to guide his customers through the project in a uniquely seamless fashion. His experience over the years provides you with the absolute best home building experience available today.

How Harden Custom Homes got their start.
Tom Harden, Founder of the Harden Legacy of builders, started the business over 40 years ago. Tom originally hailed from the mountains of West Virginia where he played college football for the WVA Mountaineers. Tom also served in the United States Marine Corps where he played football and also was a boxer. Tom relocated to Miami in the late 1950’s to pursue a career as a semi-professional football player. As a young man, Tom spent many hours as an apprentice learning the masonry and carpentry trades. Later in life, he would use these skills to start his home building business which is now known as Harden Homes. Tom used his skills as a mason and his unbridled determination gleaned from his days as a Marine to set the standard for building homes which applied to anyone that worked for him. He demanded the absolute best for his customers! That legacy of un-compromised quality has been passed down throughout the years and is what separates Harden Homes from any other builder.
