A custom home as represented in this picture is typically a ONE OF A KIND creation. The clients had the home designed by a local architect and once the design was substantially complete, they put the home out for bid. We were fortunate to have been selected as the builder of choice for this wonderful creation. All the planning and painstaking efforts by all parties paid off in the end because this home turned out to be absolutely stunning! The clients worked closely with the specialty trades and gave in-put from start to finish and it shows in the final product! This home is a showpiece. A few years ago Southwest Florida was hit hard by Hurricane Charley. Well, unfortunatley, many homes were destroyed or left un-inhabitable because of extensive damage to the structure. In many cases, the insurance companies did not pay out in a timely manner leaving homeowners to fend for themselves. In other cases, the insurance companies went bankrupt leaving homeowners to seek help through the State providers. Such is the case with this homeowner. This home sat in terrible condition for several years before we were selected to restore it. Because so much time had elapsed, most of the "code waivers" had disappeared and we were required to raise the structure to meet the new flood code heights. We completed the re-construction of the home in approximately 6 months and the homeowners now enjoy their beautrful home carefully re-constructed by the Harden Team!

The semi custom home is the most affordable way to experience owning a custom built home without having to pay extensive design fees. The semi custom home or the "1-off" is a home that we may have already designed and built before that creates a solid base or starting point for your new home. It starts by taking the plan and modifying it to suit your needs. Take a moment to look at some of the product brochures that we have uploaded onto the site. Once you find a basic plan for your new home, we can modify it to suit your needs. The fact that it comes from a stock design allows us to negotiate on your behalf for a better price!
